Attention All Members

Alright guys, Sorry I haven't coming to the site. Between working on a new site and overwhelming amounts work, I haven't been doing this place justice. Alright so the break is keeping me from using the net as much as I can (or need) so I want this site's revival to be effective.

If everyone still checks here (and I hope you all do), we will continue with our stories …

This will be the RP's official general discussion and idea topic. That means here we will discuss non-specific topics such as: Applications (Skills, Spells, and Characters), Content that can be added to the RP, Other character roles (besides Sages), Races and their function, etc. Anything and Everything about the RP itself and not the actual role-playing or role playing topics.

This topic will make "accountable" anyone who cares enough to comment here. Which means when a certain question has been settled and cleared by those who wrote their opinions here. DO NOT COME BACK at later times to post your idea on the question or problem. (If you post here and are diligent, your problems and queries/answers to those problems or queries shouldn't be changed by someone who doesn't care and comes here late.)

So um... let's see first question....

1.) How many spells do you guys want at each Sage Level (excluding the first level)?
Levels: In-Training, Sage Apprentice, Hylian Orion, Legendary Warrior, Shoku Master, Kaori Eternity

Keep in mind...Each sage in my fan-fic didn't have more than one spell (A signature attack) until the Hylian Orion Stage. But if you guys want more than one until then go for it.

I think one, or two spells max, is fine with me. Considering the fact that for most of the early levels we wont be very good at magic...

Well Here is the thing. She could be experienced in Wizardry unlike the other in-training sages. She's not great at magic maybe nor is she an official mage. But that doesn't mean she shouldn't be able to know magic or excite magic through objects. A prime example: Anyone who wants the special spell gems like Din's Fire, Nayru's Love, or Farore's Wind. These spells are items at the same time. So you bypass the the nature of having just one or two spells.

Same with Sherry's potential use of Sky Tools since they are magical artififacts and the attacks that she can unleash from them are "magic spells" in nature.

However this will be the only way I'll let anyone bypass the spell limit. at the lower levels. Also I'm fairly certain that I said give a limit for all of the Sage Levels (except the first one)

So far you guys are saying we should have from 1 to 3 at the Sage Apprentice level.

I say if you want three that's cool. And nee-chan if it's 3 for you that's three for everyone. I think I'll put a precident on the item spell useage. If you must have an item that uses spells as an attack then you can only have "2"

Just repeating the question for the late people who don't pay attention to the first post.

Well there is only one level before the Hylian Orion. Infact I say that the spell limit we use for Sage Apprentices will also be used for the Orion Stage. The reason being because if anyone has paid attention and looked in the Encyclopedia you see that by the time we reach that level we gain the ability to invoke our magic through objects. So we could use a variety of effects with weapons and other tools and change the effect of spells we use through them.

Spoiler:

Besides that the other stages after that need spell limits. For Legendary Warriors I guess we'd use 5 spells. (not counting any spell used previous....We gain the ability to use 5 whole new spells with the addition of the old ones)

As Shoku Masters I guess we'll use 8 (not including the old spells but 8 whole new spells including the old ones.)

As Kaori Masters our spells (or at least in my opinion) limit will not decrease or increase and we'll have only one additional spells. A uber signature spell. With the addition of every spell we've learned so far.

With that we should have a max of 17 spells with your plan Joey. It would be 19 with nee-chan's plan.

i.e.

1 natural spell in the first few level, 2 item based magic spells + 5 as a Legendary Warrior, + 8 as a Shoku Master+ 1 Signature as a Kaori Eternity Master = 17 (Joey's)

3 natural spell in the first few level, 2 item based magic spells + 5 as a Legendary Warrior, +8 as a Shoku Master + 1 Signature as a Kaori Eternity Master = 19 (nee-chan)

I guess my limits for Legendary Warrior, Shoku Master, and Kaori Eternity COULD BE CHANGED. It's up to you guys.

I was kind of leaning toward's nee-chan's plan with the addition of one spell somewhere else. To make it an even 20.

So in conclusion by the time we all reach the last level we all should know a MAX of 20 spells. (18 if no one wanted an item based spell or just didn't have one)

I think you should even it out at 18, I mean you are the strongest of us all, so you don't really magical backup. Brute Strength alone could get you through a battle. And bringing it back to Item Based Spells, I could whip out the Wind Waker, which we could modify for this non Sea like Area. Winds Requiem could stay the same. The Day and Night spell could do the same, The Teleportation spell could be used as mas transportation, and the songs for the temples could just be Songs, and the one used to control other objects could be used for whatever, I dunno.

I know. My max was going to be 18 anyway. With the power to control each level I'm already broken enough. We might unlock the transformations all together but I initiate them all the way up the Legendary Warrior Stage. After which all sages can trigger their own transformations. That and having the ability to muster 8 times my own weight at a time is always a +

(((Double Post)))

So if we say 20 MAX (with the minimal being 18) then I say we can conclude this question.

So 3 Spells at the Sage Apprentice, 2 Spell Items, +6 as a Legend Warrior, + 8 as a Shoku Master, 1 additional (signature spell) for the Kaori Eternity = 20

So if someone agrees to this we can move on and I'll make an Encyclopedia post for this

Well sorry for being late but yeah I think making it an even 20 is the way to go, also I was wondering if when we used low level spells like the spells we have when we're in training will get stronger when we are more proficient in magic like on Shoku Master or something like that since we can use it more effectively...?

P.S.:I'll probably post the completed biography of my character later in the day!!

That's an excellent question. They will. But I think I'm letting you all keep the low level spells as a prize of sorts. Because you supercede their useage. By the time we all pass the Hylian Orion, our natural spells become almost useless. (i.e. the first 3 spells we have). Because as an Apprentice we can only create magical energy through motion where as in later levels we can simply just cast spells out of our butts. And our signature attacks as Kaori Eternity Masters are moves that overkill (or at least they should be) (Enough to set the entire Hyrule field ablaze, or cause several funnels to ravage, and tidal waves to quake, and storms form and roar. etc etc.

But yes they will have slightly more power. Because they are still low level spells. But they are there. Let's say we lose the ability to jump to Shoku Master or we lose most of our magical energy. (Which will probably happen if we ever have to go to the Real World or we travel anywhere magic isn't recognized or the Sage Medallions disable or die out) Our ability to casts spells are diminished and we lose the access to any higher level spells (i.e. because we hardly have any magic). Well guess what spells you get to use. Your low level ones....

But I need a soild "YES" for ppl who we're actually here during the whole discussion. So nee-chan or Joey.

it sounds good to me... But if I may make a suggestion... instead of just makeing the spells slightly more powerful, maybe as we get more proficient at magics the beginner spells could maybe evolve or just add more/better effects... But all this would depend on how everyone used their magics to begin with... I was thinking mostly supportive spells and a few direct attack spells myself, but some might go with just direct attack spells...

Just how supportive could one get with fire (I make things go crisky burny) You're thinking a bit much. And I sort of get what you're saying. But we're going to go full sentai on this. When we acquire each transformation and spell it's like we instinctively know what to do. (Like how the Power Rangers fuxing know instatly how to use their powers). No wait....better example: Rave of Knowledge. Upon acquiring the power we get the necessary knowledge of how to use it. - When the need CALLS for it.

That's not the say that we can't GET better with said spells and such. That's why you practice.

But still....thinking to hard Razz

Next Question.....

What is the award system everyone wants to follow for each Level? By that I mean what will be our qualifications for going to the next level. I have several ideas for this myself

1.) Follow the fan-fic. Which means that we’d gain each form at integral steps. Except I don’t want to just RP those one after another. We need actual content AT each level before we can move on. And the following EVERY STORY in the fan-fic would just not be cool at all.

2.) Story Count: Basically we each participate in a number of stories until we reach a story limit and the very last story of that story limit will be either the achievementl of the next stage or the start of the achievement . We’ll talk more about what the max. amount of posts for EACH level (if we choose this)

3.) Combination of 1 & 2: We combine the first 2 ideas. Where the end of each limit is the major story plot for each level.

4.) Combination Story Count with Customization: We combine the 2nd idea and the concept of the 3rd idea. As in - We use story count but we come up with our own ideas for each level. This reason why I state this is because there will be some conflict if we use the fan-fic idea. Such as when Lori becomes a Sage (in the fan-fic) is when the jump to Legendary Warrior is made. All of the Sages are awakened together in this RP so that cannot work. That and Kaori Eternity in itself was a pseudo level with a more than likely improbable story. (Since around that time Link was the King of Hyrule and no longer considered himself the Sage of Fire) So if we go with #4 I’m willing to here ideas at a later date. That’s why we’re all here.

I say we do 1 and and 5. We do the Fan Fic... and than we do it kinda like Video Game ish. Where it's like Tree Customization, like we have spells and we can add onto the spells to make them more powerful and more useful. And then we use other points to make newer spells and what not. If I just said what was previously stated, my bad. Don't flame me for it I will curse you out. K, Thanks!

Flame, Flame!!!

and I just ment supportive as in disappearing into the shadows, being a ninja and all, and projecting illusions of me not actually moving, sadly just like aizens zanpakuto powers, while I attack the unaware enemy... I just ment something like that... or something that does constant damage over time, and ot just a huge lump sum of damage, kinda like a progresivly worsening poison or something...

And when you put it like that Bree it sounds good to me... I like the skill tree idea... BUT, if we went that route it would mean alot more work... but it seems we have plenty of time on our hands before we start.

Um...I think you guys are missing the question ALL together. That is unless Bree is saying let's do #1 and then add the probablity of a Customization Tree.

Award System DOES NOT have anything to with a Customization Tree. - Unless it's the awarding and spells themselves that are plotted on that tree.

I was basically asking what would be the qualifications (according to the story) to go to each level.

With that I will conclude that nee-chan is saying we follow the fan-fic but apply more of a Role-Play Gaming/General Gaming Element. Where everything we get is plotted and arranged accordingly.

Such as: Each level makes up a part of the trunk of said tree
- Shoku Master (Highest Part of the Tree)
- Legendary Warrior
- Hylian Orion
- Sage Apprentice
- In-Training (Lowest part of the tree)

With spells being the branches for each level
- Sage Apprentice --->Phoenix Flip - Fire (spell)

The Improvement of the spells being the laterial branches
- Sage Apprentice ----> Phoenix Flip - Fire (spell) ---->Improvement

The Perfected result of said spells being the leaves
- Sage Apprentice ----> Phoenix Flip - Fire (spell) ----> Improvement ---> Perfected Spell

So WE CAN DO THAT. The question is does anyone want to do as nee-chan suggested and go ahead and source directly from the fan-fic (with some alterations)? If so we close this question and move on to this Customization Idea ---If anyone else wants to use it.

Now that I think about it nee-chan is a smexy 5'6'' amalgamation of cute genius. Because this would be a nice way to add individualism in the RP. Since we have to grow together. Exactly what will allow us to single ourselves among everything. This Customization Tree could be the answer.

(Dub Post)

I think the qualifications for Ranking up should be on a skill level, presented in Halo 3. You get Exp for winning battles and such, but you get skill for performing better, taking less damage, using your surroundings correctly. So you can have all the fucking kills in the world, but if you show no skill while using it, you get no upgrade. And we can measure that at the end of a Thread. Like appoint a judge for each Thread who distributed the skill and EXP (FAIRLY!) to each player, and when a cap is met. A level up is awarded. But that's just my thinking, you don't have to listen to me.

Apparently I'm required to DO most of the thinking ^^;

But nee-chan and I talked last night. And I had to say that this plan is wayyy too farfetch'd. At least the comparison is. Had it been explained in a way suitable to the RP and not some off the wall comparative to Halo 3. (No offense sis but call it like I see it)

In any case I think she just took the setup I had and overcomplicated it. Infact if anyone has an idea that is overly more complicated than the way I explained it above don't bother posting it because you're just going to make this process longer.

So I move that we use nee-chan's initial idea with the setup I had. And since I'm a little bit tired of the avoidance of the LAST ACTUAL question. I'm choosing that we follow the fan-fic. - End of story. (Since no other post -other than my own- doesn't say otherwise)

If you feel that we shouldn't P.M. me because I feel like that damn question had enough time to be answered.

So does anyone want to use the Customization Tree Idea and my setup? (setup is in a previous post above so plz don't ask what it is)

Well thank our new experience mod. for that! Nee-chan take a bow. So with that in mind

We will need a way to monitor and award experience. As in if we train and train and train...what determines rather we improve or even prefected a spell.

I think I'll leave that up to nee-chan

Indeed *throws confetti*

I want to say that Kenny needs to award you that position. But I'm the IC Master. And Experience is apart of IC. Besides his OOC control has been dead since apparently if you live in Korea you have a mid term every other month.

So I'll expect a bunch of ideas later sis and we'll discuss them.

Next Question
What other roles would you guys like to see in this RP?

This question is broad. So just talk about it and I hear out the ideas. (Objections aside)
